E-Mail Settings for Multiple Data Connections

E-mail settings for e-mail addresses connecting through WiFi DIRECT network and a mobile connection

To setup your Outlook 2003 client to work with your e-mail account when using multiple data connections ( WiFi DIRECT network and mobile network):

1. Open Outlook 2003
2. Click the Tools menu and select E-Mail Accounts
3. Click Add a new e-mail account, then click Next
4. Choose IMAP / POP3 as your server type by clicking the radio button, and click Next
5. Fill in all the necessary fields to include the following information:

User Information:
Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages
E-mail address: Enter your full e-mail address (e.g. username@mweb.co.za)

You will need to confirm with our Support Desk (support@wifidirect.co.za) that your domain is registered as a trusted domain on our Relay Server for sending mail from an outside ISP / Service Provider (e.g. www.mweb.co.za).

Server Information:
Incoming mail server (IMAP):
incoming mail settings from your e-mail ISP / Service Provider
Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
192.168.254.254 or 41.160.19.163 (WiFi DIRECT network) / outgoing mail settings from your e-mail ISP / Service Provider (mobile network)
Logon Information:
Username:
Enter your full email address (e.g. username@mweb.co.za )
Password: Enter your e-mail password

7. Click More Settings ..... and then click on Outgoing Server tab
8. Make sure that the box next to 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is unticked
9. Click OK

10. Click Next and Finish

Congratulations!  You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve your e-mail essages.
